I need to have several teeth replaced. I want to do dental implants, but my dentist said doing a six-unit bridge would save me a ton of money. I like the idea of saving money, but I really had my heart set on implants. Is it really better to do the bridge?

No No No. The only reason I can imagine your dentist would suggest a bridge over implants is that is he doesn’t do dental implants. However, even that doesn’t make sense to me, because he could hire out the surgical part if necessary.
Let’s say this bridge is cheaper. If one piece of the bridge is damaged the whole unit will have to be replaced. Plus, the stress that large a unit will place on the anchor teeth will be detrimental to them. Is it worth risking other healthy teeth?
Unless there is information you haven’t given me, dental implants make much more sense in a case like yours. Simply go to a different dentist to have implants done.
