I have a cavity, but I don’t have a dentist. To be honest, I don’t like dentists. I hope you won’t be offended by my saying that. Lately the tooth is starting to hurt more. I am going to buy some of that filling material that you can get at Walgreens so I can fill it. I wondered if you had any special instructions for me.

I understand that you don’t like dentists, but unfortunately it is very important that you go. The store bought filling material you are referring to is meant to be a temporary filling until you can get to a dentist.
You have more than just a cavity, you have a tooth infection. Putting the store bought filling material into the hole, will not take care of the infection. It won’t stop the infection either, which means it will continue to spread. You don’t want that.
The only way to deal with the infection, is for a dentist to get out all the infected material. I realize you don’t have a dentist. There are emergency dentists that will get you in the same day if you are in pain. They can get you out of pain and then you can schedule an appointment for the next part of your treatment with that dentist, or if you weren’t crazy about him or her you can try a different dentist.
Either way, you really will want to get this treated right away.
